Thor is a beautiful Great Dane from Antioch, CA 94531. He came to us for our obedience and dog aggression training dog boot camp program. He is a cute and sweet dog, but he can also be very stubborn and often wants things his way and only his way. Thor, at times, was extremely anxious and possessive over his owners. Thor would also jump up on the couch, on the bed, and get extremely nervous with strangers. His owners tried to work with another trainer with no success.
Shauna went to the client’s home for a dog aggression evaluation and to see the dog’s anxiety and aggression behaviors first hand. It was apparent upon the visit that the Great Dane was in need of rules, boundaries, and consequences to his unruly behaviors. Shauna also knew immediately that the dog aggression boot camp was the best thing for Thor;it would be important to get Thor out of his uncontrolled environment and into an environment that could be 100% controlled in order to modify Thor’s behaviors.

The standard basic dog training obedience commands to be taught will be as follows, all commands will be worked under heavy distractions, success of all programs is based on the client’s ability and willingness to follow the program…

~ Down
~ Come Here (Recall)
~ Boundaries (No bolting in or out of doors and gates)
~ Heel (Walking nicely on a leash)
~ Place (Go to bed, lay down, and stay, until released)
~ No (Discipline for all undesired behaviors, such as jumping on people, barking excessively, digging, chewing, etc.)
~ Potty training (A foundation will be set, you must continue the potty training at home to be successful!)
