Otis & Laney are cute little French Bull Dogs that came to us from Los Angeles for obedience and some typical aggression issues. They are vocal dogs, but took to the training well and made great adjustments.

Otis and Laney are two adorable little Frenchies from Los Angeles, Ca, 90035. Otis is a 7 month old male French Bulldog, and Laney is a 7 year old female French Bulldog. Otis and Laney came to us at K-9 Behavior Services for both our doggy boot camp program and our dog aggression program. They are French Bulldogs, and being a companion breed, they love attention and companionship. French Bulldogs are known to be talkative when they want more attention, but can usually hangout without a lot of barking. Laney has some dog aggression issues she needed to work on, while Otis was here for basic obedience training.
When Otis and Laney arrived at the K-9 Behavior Services ranch, they were a little quiet as they checked out their new environment. Otis was the more vocal of the two, but even then his barking was not out of control or non-stop. When it came time to train, Laney came around a bit faster than Otis did. Otis was hesitant about training, and didn’t want to do too much the first few times he trained. But once he got used to the training, he never really went back to the rebellious attitude he started with.
Dog aggression training is a very popular training program throughout the Los Angeles, Orange County, and Ventura County areas.
Laney’s training was almost the opposite of Otis’. She started out well, but once she got used to it, she started slowing down. Sometimes she didn’t want to do anything at all, and it was a bit difficult to get her out of that slump and back on track. But when she picked it up again she was on top of her game. Otis and Laney both progressed after their individual bouts of resistance, and kept it up from there on out.
Otis did a great job in our doggy boot camp program, and Laney did an excellent job in our dog aggression training program.
When there’s two dogs in one household, and one has an aggression issue, it’s always a good idea to get them into training, both for the safety of the dogs and everybody living in the house. Now that both of these little ones have been properly trained, having two dogs in the same house will be much more manageable. Also, it will be very impressive when they show off everything they’ve learned! Great job Otis and Laney!

The standard basic dog training obedience commands to be taught will be as follows, all commands will be worked under heavy distractions, success of all programs is based on the client’s ability and willingness to follow the program…

~ Down
~ Come Here (Recall)
~ Boundaries (No bolting in or out of doors and gates)
~ Heel (Walking nicely on a leash)
~ Place (Go to bed, lay down, and stay, until released)
~ No (Discipline for all undesired behaviors, such as jumping on people, barking excessively, digging, chewing, etc.)
~ Potty training (A foundation will be set, you must continue the potty training at home to be successful!)
