about this sherman oaks dog training boot camp client

Max and Alex are a handsome pair of gentlemen from the nearby city of Sherman Oaks, in Los Angeles, Ca 91423. K-9 Behavior Services is in close proximity to the greater Los Angeles area, and is often called upon for our doggy boot camp program and dog aggression training program from residents all over the San Fernando Valley. Max and Alex came to us at K-9 Behavior Services for both our doggy boot camp and dog aggression training programs. Alex was placed in our boot camp program, because had a habit of jumping on people, while Max was placed in our aggression program because, although he’s small, he was a biter. Alex is a three year old Dachshund/Corgi mix, and an all around friendly guy. His buddy Max is a seven year old Chihuahua/Terrier mix, and a real hand biter!

Doggy boot camp is a very popular training program throughout the Los Angeles, Orange County, and Ventura County areas.

During the first few days they arrived, Alex was hesitant of our handlers, but was friendly none the less. While Max on the other hand, was skeptical of every handler, and didn’t let anyone put a leash on him. It took a few days for him to come around, but soon he got used to our handlers and stopped trying to take our fingernails off. The obedience training for Alex was a little here and there in the beginning, but once he got the hang of it he was executing his new skills like a pro. Max’s training was a little bit harder. There were days when he felt good about training, doing everything and then some. But other days, he wasn’t having it. Some small dogs can be very head-strong, and he is certainly one of them!

Once we got Max to perform the training consistently, we started training them together. It’s important to get dogs who live under the same roof used to training together before they go home. They could both behave perfectly while they’re here at the ranch, but that doesn’t mean they will be behaved at home when they’re put back together for the first time. We like to get all the bases covered before anyone heads home. It’s very inspiring to see Max take control of his aggression, he went from a dog that was impossible for strangers to hold, to a dog who rolls over for tummy rubs every time we approach him! It’s also impressive seeing Alex so well behaved and on top of his new game! We loved having them here at the ranch, and we wish them the best success and tons of tummy rubs! Great job guys!

This doggy boot camp is offered in other cities such as Las Vegas, Henderson, San Francisco, Bay Area, Stockton, Modesto, San Jose, Folsom, El Dorado, Orangevale, Fair Oaks, Roseville, Rocklin, Loomis, Carmichael, Citrus Heights, Miami, Florida, Miami-Dade, Broward County, and Palm Beach County.
